On every Monday morning, the whole school gathers to share songs, special projects, class presentations and a reflective moment of the community. At the Assembly, as on field trips and all other school-wide occasions, each upper grader partners up with a little one, forging a year-long relationship that is mutually beneficial to both the young and the old.
Past Assembly projects included "Guess the Marble Jar," "Bilingual Book Fair Scavenger Hunt," and "Teachers' Show-N-Tell." It is not only an example of authentic language use in a meaningful context, but also an engaging way to start a week filled with more magical moments.
